Attorney - Junior to Mid-Level

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

A boutique Austin-based law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level attorney to join its growing practice. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with experienced leadership on sophisticated business transactions and regulatory matters across the energy and natural resources space.

The firm represents a diverse client base including business owners, investors, utilities, and landowners, with a focus on delivering practical, business-oriented legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and transactional documents
  • Support and manage components of business transactions, acquisitions, and corporate structuring
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance and strategy related to energy, water rights, utilities, and land use matters
  • Assist with matters involving real estate development, mineral rights, and infrastructure projects
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on complex regulatory frameworks
  • Work directly with clients, including business owners, operators, and investors

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of legal experience (law firm preferred)
  • Previous experience within PUC, TCEQ, Railroad Commission, or other regulatory agency
  • Experience or strong interest in transactional work, regulatory law, or energy/real estate matters
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Texas Bar admission required or ability to obtain
